Viktor Makov is a Russian sculptor, character designer, the creator of Monsterskaya workshop and so-named blog about SFX.He is known by his handcrafted busts, masks and figurines based on popular fantasy characters.
Victor creates products with his own unique design. Since childhood he has been fond of recreating movie characters, but his first works were not related to art at all. Then Victor tried traditional painting and 2-dimensional animation in Photoshop, but he wanted to create something more realistic.
In 2011 he started doing special effects and sculpture. In 2013 he graduated from plastic makeup courses and started his career as a sculptor and FX master.

PROCESS OF MONSTER CREATING
All work is done by hand and each of them with very great detail!
You can be confused with 3D, but this is not so!
First, I make a sketch of the character on paper to have a general image.
Then I sculpt a model from an expensive American plasticine. It usually takes from one month to 2-3 months, but sometimes it may lasts longer.
Then I create a silicone mold and cast the finished product from high-quality polyurethane plastic with the addition of pigments.
And then there is already painting in the style of "hyperrealism"! Any work can be ordered. Subsequent copy will be made faster!
